"The Ferns" is set in a delightful private
sub-tropical garden - right behind the artistic
village of Titirangi - gateway to the Waitakere
Ranges Regional Parkland. Throughout this magical
wilderness there are 200 kilometres of paths,
tracks, and trails leading to charming picnic
spots, meandering rainforest streams and waterfalls,
or to the tops of cliffs with stunning views over
the Tasman Sea.
The village cafés and galleries are a few minutes stroll from "The Ferns" through a charming forest walkway, and opposite is a trail leading to Titirangi Beach, a bayside reserve of the Manukau Harbour A short scenic drive takes you to peaceful beaches of the Manukau harbour or the dramatic West Coast and movie locations of "The Piano", "Zena" and "The Young Hercules".
Accommodation includes: two guest bedrooms, (one with queen bed, one with double bed), your own private guest bathroom, and guest lounge.) For the summertime there is a delightful outdoor patio surrounded by ferns and palm trees, for winter evenings, enjoy a cozy log fire in the spacious guest lounge. Amenities included are T.V. stereo, books, tea and coffee making facilities, microwave oven and internet connection for your personal laptop.
